EV Charging Station Cybersecurity Specialist

Full Job description

Job Overview 


We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security  Specialist to join our dynamic team in preventing hack attacks on electric vehicle charging station infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting OCPP and ISO 15118

protocols from hackers and implementing solutions that include:

 Encryption and authentication protecting communications between the vehicle, charging station, and network.

Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) : Using digital certifications to verify the identity of the vehicle and charging station. 

Secure firmware updates: Ensuring that software updates for charging station are authentic and untampered with.

Continuous monitoring: Using real time analytics and threat detection tools to identify and respond to attacks.

Penetration testing: simulating attacks to find and fix vulnerabilities.

The role requires a combination of technical expertise, sales acumen, and strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients. 

Cybersecurity Specialist will play a crucial role in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures and providing exceptional customer service. 

Duties

* Conduct through assessment of security systems and protocols to identify potential vulnerable risk to EV charging applications: malware and viruses, lack of encryption, API abuse, insufficient authentication and denial-of-service (DoS).

* Utilize CRM software for effective EV charging station infrastructure management and lead generation.

* Perform market analysis to identify trends in the EV charging sector and opportunities within the technology subscription sales landscape. 

* Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with clients while ensuring customer satisfaction. 


Requirements

* Proven training in cybersecurity.

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Knowledge of network security, risk management, and incident response procedure.

* Essential soft skills: critical thinking, problem-solving and communication.

* Ability to conduct cold calling cyber sales while  engaging in territory specific sales efforts.

* Work location: Worldwide remote.
